Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Alpha 2 Now Out For Testing

Ubuntu has just released the second Alpha of Trusty Tahr. Have a look at what's new...

Even as developers at Canonical are regularly sifting through the packages that will stay and those that could be removed in the upcoming distribution: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr), the second Alpha of Trusty has now been released for testers and early adopters. It must be noted that the release of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is still pretty far ahead.

This alpha features images for Edubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Ubuntu Kylin, Xubuntu and Ubuntu Cloud images.

Edubuntu

It’s very similar to stock Ubuntu but integrates a lot of educational software, supports thin clients (LTSP) and offers an optional GNOME lashback desktop as an alternative to Unity.
